Training Runs

One of the great things about participating with the Huntsman Cancer Foundation is they have a great little charity running group called the Huntsman Hometown Heroes.  This group is similar to Team in Training, except that they don't make you mortgage your house to meet the minimum fundraising goal.  The minimum fundraising goal is only $500 for a full marathon, much less than what other charity running groups expect.

Every week the Hunstman Hometown Heroes (HHH) host a training run that helps everyone train for their race.  On most days we have about 50 people show up, some of them are even cancer survivors.  At every run, Elfi Ortenburger and her husband, Rick Ortenburger, arrive early to set up a course.  Rick also takes pictures and video throughout the day.  This is his most recent work.  I think it shows very well why most of us are out running, and why we are raising money for cancer research.
